We stay current on the changes to tax laws, so you can rest assured the information we provide is accurate and up to date.

Donna Smith, EA, CFE

Donna is a 28 year seasoned veteran in the field of tax and accounting. She is an Enrolled Agent, meaning she is licensed to represent you, the taxpayer, before the IRS.  Donna is a Certified QuickBooks Pro Advisor and holds a Fraud Examiner Certification.

Donna graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of South Florida with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting. She was also accepted into the prestigious Beta Gamma Sigma Society, where only the top 10% of a graduating class is recognized. She is dedicated to providing her clients with honest and accurate advice, reminding you, she works for you NOT the IRS She completes many courses throughout the year in tax law, ethics and the IRS code. She even likes to study tax law when she is not helping clients.

Donna was born in Tampa Florida and has lived in this area most of her life. She spends her free time with her husband, 6 grown children and 8 (and counting) grandchildren, brother, sisters, nieces and nephew.  Her hobbies are sewing and quilting.

Dominica has worked for Donna Smith Tax & Accounting from the beginning. She has a background in customer service, bookkeeping and office management. Dominica is a Certified QuickBooks Online Pro Advisor and takes tax preparation continuing education throughout the year.

Our clients are Dominica’s first priority, and you will find her energy and smile contagious. Her goal is continuous improvement, and she demonstrates that by learning current tax law and expanding her skills and knowledge in QuickBooks and accounting on a daily basis.

Dominica was born in Monroe, NC, but grew up in Sarasota County. She is a Venice High School graduate and attended State College of Florida after high school. She has an adult son and several nieces and nephews. She spends her free time with her family and watching old tv series reruns.
